Explanation

Betaxolol is a beta-blocker and is banned in controlled sports; if in doubt please check with your medical officer or governing body. Levels in blood produced by eye-drops CAN be detectable, and although unlikely, MAY cause a ban

The combination of a fall in blood pressure and/or changes in heart rhythm combined with competitive sport in ahtletes not otherwise requiring this medicine may be seriously detrimental to health Do not stop taking this medicine without consulting your doctor tablets known as Kerlone (Sanofi) drops as Betoptic (Alcon) In cases of medical necessity may be registered by group Medical Officer
