Men’s Fitness Plan

Fitness for men is very important even with a man’s busy lifestyle these days; it comes as no surprise to find many men in America are overweight or obese. Many men with no free time to exercise face the choice of eating on the go with fast food restaurants tempting you along the way. The average man needs only about 2,000 calories and an active man needs about 2,800 calories each day. Many men tend to choose the wrong foods and having no exercise can become a vicious cycle to have to face. Finding a men’s fitness plan that works for you is the key to a healthy lifestyle for many years to come.

A men’s fitness plan should start out with eating healthy foods like fruits and vegetables, dairy, whole grains and breads, protein, fruit jucies and plenty of water. One you have reprogrammed your body into eating the right foods, then you can start on the exercising part of the fitness plan. You should start out slow, like jogging around the block in your neighborhood before or after work. Jogging will build up your endurance and prepare you for activity that is much more physical.

You could also join a gym. If you decide to join a gym, ask if they offer a fitness plan aimed specifically at men. Sometimes they offer weight training with an instructor who can show you exactly how to lift and give you goals to accomplish. If you prefer not to have a fitness instructor, you can come up with your own routine and fitness regimen. One good plan is if you are going to be weight lifting to alternate your days. Start out light and build up your strength before jumping into the heavy weights. Every other day lift lightweights; this gives you the toned look you want. In addition, on the alternate days you can lift slightly heavier ones, giving you the more muscled look.

Men’s fitness plans can greatly improve your health if followed by a healthy diet and daily exercise. You don’t have to work out in a gym everyday to stay healthy. Purchase some free weights at your local sporting goods store and everyday for about ten to fifteen minutes you could do some arm curls. This will tone up your arms giving you a more sculpted look. Also, do some stomach crunches to lose that little spare tire if you have one. These can all be done in the privacy of your own home.

Finding the right fitness routine for you can be tricky and a lot of trial and error if you’ve never done something like this before. Always remember when starting any fitness plan to talk to your doctor beforehand to see if this will be right for you. If he gives you the okay, then find a fitness plan that will work for you around your busy schedule. Always start out with a slow fitness plan and build yourself up.
